CCC Cabins at Valley of Fire State Park NV

We did some exploring around the park and one of the roads leads to cabins that were built by the CCC in the 30's.

They are built of rock and each have windows and a fireplace.   And out the front are beautiful views of the rock formations.   There's a trail that leads behind the cabins and there are petroglyphs there.

My absolute favorites are the goats.  We took a moment to just sit and glance out at the view in front of us.
Boom and I followed an old trail past the cabins that went up into the rocks and more beautiful views.  There were some difficult climbing  spots but Boomer was quick and so surefooted.
A lot of times he shows me the easiest path back to the main trail if I just listen to him.
