We are exhausted. Driving and changing time zones makes the inner clock quiver and ask, 'what the heck are you doing to me?' But yesterday was a busy day.

We woke up as the sun was rising, packed up our puppies and headed eagerly to the beach. I don't know who was more excited to see the big crashing waves of the gulf: us or the dogs.

Excited tail wags and even more enthusiastic running was the result of being let off leash and splashing full throttle into the water. White sand soon was full of happy dog paw prints as we explored the shore and watched the rolling waves.

The wind whipped our hair and the sun was warm as we enjoyed watching dog splashes and wild runs. However our poor dogs were unaware that they had two more doggy fields to take us to that day. Exhausting!

After a fun morning of beaches and dog smiles, we headed for home. Our poor dogs both had eyes rolled back and occasional dog dreams were revealed by simultaneously moving paws. I think in their dreams, they were still back on that wonderful Alabama beach.
