Apalachicola- The moor that connects to St. Vincent's Island is lined with fishing boats, high masts providing bird perches for the true feathered residents of this cove.

The salty smell and caw of the gull like birds reminds us so much of the Seattle waterfront. The dogs were so happy to have us both walking them and pranced through the grass. I think they are excited to be on the road again. Two old fishing boats lay stranded on the shore, the weather rotting them out board by board.

We slept really well last night and woke up as the sky was changing colors. We're off to Alabama. I'm going to miss all the birds in Florida. Though I have a feeling on this rip with Kim's new camera, no bird is safe anymore! It's too much fun seeing their minute details that she can now capture. :)

That sure looks like a good example of the Laughing Gull.
