The Last Day of MacIntosh Even writing those words makes me sad. Today as we looked up into the sky, we saw both an Eagle and an Osprey soaring overhead.

And to top it off, we looked across the water and saw several white egrets perching in the trees. One even came by to say goodbye to Bugs.

The water is transparent right by the shore and a large catfish was sitting in the shallow water, maybe feasting on the small minnows that flurried about.

In the evening, we went to the community dinner that Sportsmen's Cove holds once a month. We got to say goodbye to the friends that we've met here. Saying goodbye is so hard!

We fell asleep early but not before seeing the red moon rising on the horizon. I woke up at 5:30 and was so excited to get up and on to another adventure. We got to watch the sun rise as we packed up.

Bob, one of the workers at the Cove, cut a tree branch for us so we could leave our site. Isn't it amazing that we were so happy and content in ONE place for 3 entire months? Before we left I could hear the sand cranes cooing in the distance. Our Osprey and Eagle made one last swoop of farewell overhead.
