Owl Canyon Campground, Barstow, CA

We are in Owl Canyon near Barstow, CA, and there are fossilized prints of the animals that used to live here.  We'd love to see a turtle, but they usually come out in Spring when it gets warmer and they start looking for their mate.

Beautiful hills surround us right now with green and reddish hues.  In the distance there's a view of the mountains to the South of us.   There's a wash that goes along the canyon below our campsite and Boomer and I went for a hike this morning.

We climbed up a hill together and looked out at the expanse of colorful hills.   There's sand on the ground and Boomer loves to run and roll in it.   I keep thinking I've found my new favorite place and another comes along!
