Where The Wind Takes Us... One Doggie Field After Another

We got up the other day to go do some errands and heard on the news that the rocket to Pluto was supposed to go up that afternoon. Thought what the heck, lets go for it...

We called Beth back in WA since she used to live in the area to ask where to go. She pointed us to Cocoa Beach.

We found a radio station that was updating the launch. While we were on I-95 they announced that the launch was happening! Unfortunately it was cloudy. Lots of folks pulled over on the freeway. Then all of a sudden thru a small brake in the clouds there it was! It was such a small opening in the clouds there was no way of getting a pic. But a couple of minutes later the clouds parted and we were able to get this shot of the trail of the rocket! It is on it's way to Pluto.




We went ahead and went to Cocoa Beach only to be faced with many no dogs allowed signs... :(
