We found this neat wall in the historic town of Micanopy, FL. it is Dr Montgomery's wall... and is in the process of being renovated.

Ok, you bird connoisseurs failed to point out my mistake...

We found out they are a White Ibis. Turns out that it is rare to see a flamingo in Florida. normally they are zoo escapees when you do see the rare one...

We got up the other day to go do some errands and heard on the news that the rocket to Pluto was supposed to go up that afternoon. Thought what the heck, lets go for it...

We called Beth back in WA since she used to live in the area to ask where to go. She pointed us to Cocoa Beach.

We found a radio station that was updating the launch. While we were on I-95 they announced that the launch was happening! Unfortunately it was cloudy. Lots of folks pulled over on the freeway. Then all of a sudden thru a small brake in the clouds there it was! It was such a small opening in the clouds there was no way of getting a pic. But a couple of minutes later the clouds parted and we were able to get this shot of the trail of the rocket! It is on it's way to Pluto.




We went ahead and went to Cocoa Beach only to be faced with many no dogs allowed signs... :(

We got to take a great trip over to the Atlantic Ocean! Samantha and I got to romp off leash with 2 other dogs! The one reminded us of Shetara, she was relentlessly chasing a golf ball that her person was tossing for her.

Unfortunatly the cable to download the pics off of the camera broke and the pics of the beach are lost on the camera... But here is a shot of the Light House in St. Augustine.

We have been keeping busy here in Florida! We love our little spot on the lake. Buger loves watching the boats come and go along with all the bird activity!

The town we are in (McIntosh) is a cute little town of about 500 folks. It is all single lane paved roads and everyone drives slow! Alot of the houses have golf carts that they drive around town.

Kim got a new motor for the trike, and we are taking daily trips around town! It is way fun. We have our favorite field about a block away from the post office.

The people are real nice here, and I keep making liars out of Kim and Suzi when they tell people that I am afraid of strangers I like to run up to them and let them scritch me!
