Drove past the lake on the way home from Great Falls.
Saw a few Snow Geese, Pelicans, and these Sand Cranes
oh, and saw this Bald Eagle too.
2 days ago the water was mostly open, but since the winter storm that rolled through it looks like most of the lake is frozen with some open areas.
Decided to go for a short drive to look at the birds, did not think we would see much due to the time of day, but we saw enough action to satisify us.
